Signs bearing the logo of the Gulf gas station and the inscription "Opening Soon" have appeared in Yerevan and beyond, reports the Telegram channel Economy of Armenia.
Gulf Oil is an international oil company founded in 1901 in the USA. It was one of the world's largest oil monopolies in the mid-20th century and was part of the "Seven Sisters" (the seven largest oil companies in the world).
In 1984, Gulf Oil was acquired by Chevron, which still owns the brand. The Gulf gas station network includes over 2,500 stations in the USA and more than 1,000 in other countries around the world.
It is worth noting that another oil giant, the British-Dutch Shell, entered the Armenian market last summer. The Shell gas station network is expected to expand in the near future.
