A refrigeration farm has been launched in the village of Ditsi, Gori Municipality, with an investment of up to GEL 250,000. The Sosiashvili family has been engaged in agriculture for years and hold apple, plum, peach and berry orchards, locating on 7 hectares.
They sell the harvest on the local market with their own efforts. Annually, individual entrepreneur produces up to 15 tons of peaches, 20-25 tons of different types of apples, as well as raspberries and strawberries worth up to 15,000 GEL.
Zaza Sosiashvili, an individual entrepreneur explains that setting up a refrigeration farm is important for the farmer, as it significantly reduces their expenditures.
According to him, the refrigeration farm is set up on 550 sq.m. and consists of 7 refrigeration departments, where farmers keep their crops for today.
At present, the refrigeration plant is not working at full capacity, however, the farmer notes that it is planned to start operating at full capacity from next spring. It should be noted that the project was implemented with the support of the Bank of Georgia.
