Pet Care App Vetapp is one of the winners of GITA's GEL 100,000 co-financing grant program. The app, which integrates a pet veterinary passport, also allows the pet owner to be reminded of the date of the required veterinary procedure.
So far, the application is working under the test mode and the full platform will be launched in about two months.
As Sandro Bestavashvili, co-founder of the startup, declares the GITA GEL 100,000 grant will be spent for development, geographical expansion and marketing services.
“Four persons founded the startup and a small team works for this big project, we all had a pet and as you know, this passport is necessary in a veterinary clinic. Sometimes this information is lost. In such cases, the veterinarian often finds it difficult to search for information, therefore, this idea came up to eliminate this problem," said the co-founder of Vetapp.
Sandro Bestavashvili also talks about future plans and notes that the goal of the startup is to make Vetapp a universal, valid passport in all countries and allow people to transport pets to any country with this application.
