The aparthotel Aikon Apartments, located in the resort town of Abastumani, is experiencing a significant increase in demand. According to Rusudan Gogoladze, founder of the property, bookings in 2025 are up by 52–55% compared to the previous year.
Opened just a year ago with an investment of 8 million GEL, Aikon Apartments was developed by Aikon Development, a company active in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region since 2014. The five-story complex is nestled near Abastumani’s pine forest, river, sports fields, and thermal springs—features that have long defined the resort’s therapeutic appeal.
The aparthotel features 37 apartments across four categories, accommodating up to 110 guests. The complex also includes the Georgian-European bar-restaurant Ifan (capacity: 120 guests), a conference hall that seats up to 60 in theater format, and a billiard room.
“We mainly welcome large families, both Georgian and international,” Gogoladze told bm.ge. “Our goal is to maintain high occupancy year-round and raise awareness of Abastumani as a destination. It is necessary to popularize the resort and establish it as a brand.”
Guests can also purchase fully furnished apartments within the complex, gaining access to full hotel services such as cleaning, maintenance, and guest management via online booking platforms. Current room rates start at 350 GEL, depending on the apartment category, and a loyalty program with discounts is also in place.
The founder emphasizes that Aikon Development employs 36 staff, whose qualifications are regularly upgraded through internal training programs. “Providing consistently high-quality service based on guest feedback is our top priority,” she added.
