Paata Imnadze, Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control, disagrees with the decision made by the Coordinating Council yesterday to grant permanent "green status" to those who defeated covid once.
"I think it should be changed," he said in response to a question from reporters.
The deputy head of the NCDC says that defeating covid once does not protect you from re-infection.
"Studies have already been published ... In addition, we have more than 5,000 cases of coronavirus re-infection in the country. Defeating Covid once does not guarantee that the virus will not be transmitted to you again," Paata Imnadze said.
