He acknowledged the project's significance, recognizing the Caucasus region as a gateway connecting Central Asia to Europe and other markets.
Urbaneja-Furelos highlighted ADB's long-standing support for the CAREC program, which aligns with the Middle Corridor concept by connecting countries in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
He also expressed enthusiasm for the proposed Black Sea cable project, emphasizing its potential to open new market access for regional economies.
The ADB official indicated the bank's readiness to support these initiatives, suggesting a collaborative approach involving public sector, financial institutions, and private sector stakeholders.
