Natia Skhvitaridze, founder of FAS Group, stated in the BMGTV program “Business Weekly” that since June, investors have withdrawn their businesses from the country and moved them to another country.
According to her, this is natural, since they do not want to operate in a chaotic country, so they moved their businesses to another country.
“In the last quarter, there has been a 25%, 40% and 80% decline in specific business sectors, including tourism, tourism-related businesses, the construction sector, the service sector, and the list is wide. This started in June. I can give dozens and hundreds of examples of how investors stopped operating in Georgia. They got up and very easily moved them to another country. Because they did not want to operate in this chaotic and unstable situation. I also want to say that we are already in a very difficult financial situation,” says Skhvitaridze.
According to her, the danger is so great that she was unable to go to the BMG studio alone for the broadcast.
“It is very difficult to be here and it is actually dangerous. I honestly want to say that I could not come here alone today, because if I go back, they will beat me. Every time I go to the rally, I do not know if I will return to my three-week-old son or not.
Why are they beating us and why are they arresting us? Because of money. Where does this money come from? - Actually, from their businesses. A list should be made, which businesses are under their control, so that the public knows well where they should not go. There should be information about this,” says Natia Skhvitaridze.
