On Monday, September 30, during a panel discussion at the third EAEU Forum, Armenia's Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan reported an increase in the agricultural trade turnover between Armenia and EAEU member states.

According to customs services, this figure grew by 7.3% from January to August. Khojoyan noted that this growth has been observed for several years, although infrastructure development is lagging behind the pace of trade expansion.

To address this issue, Armenia is implementing two state programs. The first program provides interest rate subsidies for leasing, allowing for the acquisition or construction of agricultural warehouses, cold storage facilities, processing equipment, and other assets.

The second program, under similar conditions, focuses on the purchase of transport vehicles for logistics. Khojoyan also highlighted that Armenia is investing significantly in road repairs, with $150 million allocated for major road reconstruction and $15 million for maintenance in 2024.

"Currently, roads in Armenia’s regions are either in good condition or undergoing repairs," the deputy minister concluded.
