Georgia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is preparing to launch a new program as part of broader agro-reform efforts, according to an official press release. The initiative was discussed by Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze with representatives of agricultural associations, with detailed plans expected to be published soon.
Officials said the program is designed to strengthen the country’s export potential and enhance national food security. Dolidze noted that Georgia’s long-term agricultural policy has already created a foundation for transitioning the sector to a new stage of development.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the reform process aims to build on existing experience while introducing targeted adjustments to improve sector performance and international competitiveness.
Representatives of industry associations welcomed the dialogue format, saying such engagement is essential for implementing effective and results-oriented reforms.
