Georgian Civil Aviation Agency declares, that air traffic has increased by 49% in 8M2022. In total, 85,814 flights were recorded in the airspace of Georgia in 8 months of the current year. The statistics include both take-off and landing data, as well as overflights performed in Georgian airports.
The Aviation Agency notes that in addition to Georgia, air traffic has got more active in other countries in 2022.
"As of Aviation Agency, global air traffic began to recover from the spring of 2022. Passengers feel more secure this year, traveling for business meetings and leisure. The summer of 2022 showed us that the full recovery of air traffic throughout Europe is connected with the start of the tourist season", - the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency declares.
The state-owned company notes that growth trends should be sustainable when the war factor is over.
