Tamar Chkhikvadze, founder of “Hot Travel Group,” says prices for tourist packages have slightly decreased due to low demand in some destinations.
Speaking to BM.GE, she explained that after a weak winter season, demand has increased, but initially high prices discouraged early bookings, the growth made up 30% year-on-year.
“Tour companies couldn’t fill their pre-booked seats, so airlines started offering more reasonable fares, especially to Turkey,” Chkhikvadze said.
She noted that most travelers now book last minute, which affects pricing trends. Antalya remains a top choice, with strong interest in European destinations as well. Bookings for Asia typically begin in the fall.
“Hotel prices are still high, but airfare has adjusted. Georgian travelers mostly prefer mid-range hotels, though many are willing to stretch their budgets for more comfort,” she added.
