Ajara Textile expects production and revenue to grow by approximately 10% in the current year, according to company director Gia Lominadze, who spoke to BM.GE.

“Orders are increasing, so we expect around 10% growth this year,” Lominadze said.

He noted that the company is also expanding its workforce in response to rising demand. “In 2025 we added about 800–900 employees and we are still hiring seamstresses and production staff. We are trying to further expand our factories,” he said.

According to him, labor shortages remain a challenge in Georgia, which has also pushed wages higher. As a result, the company is shifting toward producing more complex and higher-value garment models.

“Labor costs in Georgia have increased significantly, so we are focusing on more complex, higher-value production. Simple models are being shifted to our factory in Egypt, which will start operations in the coming months,” he added.

Ajara Textile, which produces clothing for global brands such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, New Balance, and Under Armour, reported revenue of GEL 258.3 million in 2024, up from GEL 247.3 million in 2023. The company employs thousands of workers across its facilities in Rustavi, Poti, Batumi, and Kobuleti.
