Aleksandre Kartozia has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kartozia previously served as Minister of Education and as Director of the National Library of the Georgian Parliament.
Kartozia has also worked as a researcher and lecturer at universities in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Bremen. As a scholar and translator, he has played a significant role in strengthening Georgian-German cultural relations.
In 2022, he was honoured with the Merit Order of the Federal Republic of Germany.
