During his official visit to Riga, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, emphasized in a meeting with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže that one of Armenia's priorities is to initiate a dialogue on visa liberalization with the EU.
According to the press service of the National Assembly of Armenia, Simonyan stated that Armenia also looks forward to the support of the Republic of Latvia in this matter.
Speaking about the "Crossroad of the World" project initiated by the Armenian government, the Speaker noted that the project aims to develop regional communications based on the principles of sovereignty, reciprocity, and equality.
Touching upon the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Alen Simonyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the principle of mutual recognition of territorial integrity, based on the Alma-Ata Declaration.
