Amid The Current Events, We Have Experienced A Drop In Sales Of Over 50% - "Avtandil winery"

“Amid the current events, we have a sales drop of about 50%,” Avtandil Iromashvili, founder of the "Avtandili Winery," told BM.GE.

According to him, if the ongoing processes in the country drag on for a long time, the sales drop may maintain the growth trend.

“Against the current events in the country, we have a sales drop of about 50%, and if the situation continues like this, the situation may worsen. We have not replenished the stocks in the stores. We are refusing because there is no demand for wine right now. The number of sales has decreased significantly. Some stores can no longer trade at all.

If the situation continues for a long time, the Georgian wine market in general is not expected to experience major fluctuations, although the percentage of trade in the local market will decrease. "Considering the fact that our wine consumers in Georgia are mainly foreign consumers, if there is no influx of tourists, we will not be able to sell wine. However, with what is happening in the country now, I do not think that we will be attractive to tourists," says Iromashili.

"Avtandili Winery"was founded in 2021. The company produces 3,000-4,000 bottles per year, which means processing approximately 10-15 tons of grapes.
