Anaklia Development Consortium is in negotiations with more than 100 companies, - told Keti Bochorishvili, Head of Anaklia City to BM.ge. “We are negotiating with more than 100 companies the issues of consumer industry, transportation and logistics, not represented in Georgia, but present in the region. We want to get them interested and bring them to Georgia. Our interest is to attract as many international brands to Georgia as possible and make Anaklia a platform for them,” – state Keti Bochorishvili. As she explained, the Consortium works hard to create Anaklia economic zone.
“We are actively involved in economic research and planning process, we also cooperate with many international economic zones and study their best practices. In July, we will have a specific outline of what Anaklia economic zone is going to be. For us it is very important to ensure success of the first phase, which involves industrial and logistics aspects and is scheduled for three years. Next step will be the integration of other components, including the city,” – stated Keti Bochorishvili. The cost of the first phase of Anaklia Port is 560 mln USD. The investment for research and design reached 40 mln USD.
