The Anti-Corruption Bureau has rejected the statement made by Transparency International Georgia (TI) that officials’ asset declarations have not been published for the past two months, labeling the claim as disinformation.

According to the Bureau, all property declarations are available on its official website - declaration.acb.gov.ge and their publication timelines are regulated by the Law of Georgia on Combating Corruption. The Bureau explained that, under amendments adopted on September 9, 2024, each declaration undergoes a two-month administrative review, during which it cannot be disclosed to the public. Declarations become publicly available only after this process is completed.

The agency also accused TI of “repeatedly spreading false information” about its activities, recalling that in April 2024, the organization claimed the Bureau had hidden the GRECO (Group of States against Corruption) report - which, according to the Bureau, was publicly released in compliance with Council of Europe procedures.

Despite the Bureau’s clarification, it did not address why no declarations have been verified or published during the last two months, the issue at the center of TI’s criticism.
