According to an analytical report by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Armenia recorded the highest growth rate in housing construction among EAEU member states, nearly doubling the volume of commissioned housing during January-November 2024.
In the first 11 months of 2024, Armenia commissioned 928,900 square meters of housing, an 89% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth significantly outpaced that of other EAEU member states. Kazakhstan saw an 8.3% increase with 16.3 million square meters of commissioned housing, Kyrgyzstan reported 7.1% growth (1.1 million square meters), Russia experienced a modest 0.7% increase (93.8 million square meters), and Belarus reported just 0.4% growth (3.3 million square meters).
Despite its impressive growth rate, Armenia's share of the total commissioned housing volume within the EAEU remains modest at 0.8%. The majority of housing construction is concentrated in Russia (81.2%), followed by Kazakhstan (14.1%), Belarus (2.9%), and Kyrgyzstan (1%). Overall, the total volume of commissioned housing across the EAEU increased by 2.1%, reaching 115.5 million square meters during the reporting period.
