On July 8, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in the tenth meeting of the CIS Industrial Policy Council within the framework of the "Innoprom" international forum held in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

“I am pleased to welcome you to this important meeting dedicated to discussing topics related to industrial development in our countries. Industrial policy is a key tool of state governance aimed at developing and supporting the industrial sector of the economy. Industrial development contributes to increased production, economic growth, job creation, and ensuring the stability of the national market.

The Republic of Armenia strives to actively participate in industrial development not only at the national level but also within the framework of international cooperation. We are making every effort to create a favorable investment climate, improve legislation, and support innovations in the industry. Supporting joint efforts aimed at innovation, digitalization, and stimulating economic growth will be the foundation of our successful future path," the minister noted in his welcome speech.

The agenda of the Council meeting included a wide range of issues related to the development of cooperation in various fields. The draft Concept for the Development of Cooperation between CIS member states in the field of light industry and the action plan for its implementation were presented. Representatives of the main organizations controlled by the council reported on their activities for 2023-2024 and plans for the upcoming period.
