On September 2, a meeting took place between Armenia's Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, and representatives of the pension fund "C-Quadrat Ampega" — Vice President Andreas Wimmer and Board Member Carlos Mendez de Vigo.
"C-Quadrat Ampega," which has been operating in the Armenian market for over a decade, is a significant player in the management of the country's pension and investment funds. The company serves both participants of the compulsory pension system as well as institutional and private investors.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to Armenia's economic policy was discussed. Particular attention was given to new initiatives for modernizing the economy and planned development programs.
Minister Papoyan provided detailed information on the measures being taken to develop the country's capital market. He highlighted the importance of the recently adopted Corporate Governance Code, aimed at increasing corporate transparency and creating favorable conditions for attracting new investments.
The parties also discussed ways to improve Armenia's investment climate and enhance the financial literacy of the population.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify joint efforts aimed at the development of Armenia's economy. A particular emphasis was placed on increasing the fund's investments in the real economy sector and further developing the capital market.
