Amid growing interest in technological collaboration between Armenia and China, senior representatives from the two countries held a meeting to discuss ambitious plans for partnership in high-tech industries.
On December 11, Armenia’s First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Gevorg Mantashyan, held talks with a Chinese delegation led by Zhao Qiuyan, Second-Rank Inspector of the Eurasian Department at China’s Ministry of Commerce. The discussions focused on developing new directions for technological partnership.
The Chinese side presented a comprehensive program for expanding cooperation, emphasizing issues of standardization and certification of high-tech products. According to Mantashyan, active work is currently underway to create a detailed roadmap for collaboration between the two countries.
During the meeting, promising areas for joint work were outlined in telecommunications, digitalization, and cybersecurity. Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation in the space industry and scientific research. The parties also agreed on mutual participation in specialized technology exhibitions.
Representatives from both countries reaffirmed the significant potential for expanding technological cooperation and expressed their readiness to make further efforts to implement the outlined plans.
