Armenia's Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, held important talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Serenade Mohamed Soliman Gamil, opening new prospects for bilateral cooperation. The meeting took place on October 22 in Yerevan, according to the press service of Armenia's Ministry of Economy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of economic cooperation issues. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening business ties, implementing investment projects, and boosting mutual trade. Minister Papoyan provided a detailed overview of Armenia’s investment environment and highlighted the most attractive sectors for Egyptian businesses.
“We attach great importance to the implementation of joint investment initiatives between Armenia and Egypt. By sharing information about the investment programs of both countries, we can identify the most promising areas of cooperation, such as technology, agriculture, renewable energy, light industry, and textile manufacturing,” Gevorg Papoyan emphasized.
The talks also touched upon the possibility of organizing international specialized exhibitions and business forums. The minister separately addressed the "Crossroads of Peace" program, highlighting its potential economic benefits and its importance for establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
