Armenia and France strengthen cooperation: Paris to provide budgetary and technical assistance to Yerevan

On June 26, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan held a meeting with a delegation led by Mathieu Vasseur, the Regional Director of the Eurasian Agency of the French Development Agency.

According to the government's press service, Khachatryan highly appreciated the role of the French Development Agency in expanding and deepening multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France. He particularly emphasized the importance of supporting reforms implemented by the Armenian government through the agency's budgetary and technical assistance programs.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including the construction of the Vedi Reservoir and other ongoing programs. They also discussed opportunities for further expanding cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, BMG reported that Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and Mathieu Vasseur, the Regional Director of the French Development Agency in Eurasia, signed a loan agreement worth 75 million euros.
