Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan held a meeting with German Ambassador Claudia Busch to discuss prospects for bilateral technological cooperation, according to the ministry's press service.
During the meeting, Minister Hayrapetyan outlined the strategic priorities of his ministry, covering a wide range of areas, from high technology and digitalization to space technologies and cybersecurity. Special attention was given to Armenia’s new seven-year program for technological sector development.
The two sides identified several promising areas for collaboration, including attracting major German and European IT companies to Armenia, developing biotechnology, as well as designing and manufacturing semiconductor components and microelectronics.
Ambassador Claudia Busch spoke about ongoing joint projects in the field of digitalization and expressed Germany’s readiness to deepen cooperation in startup development, the technology industry, and capacity building.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached to expand cooperation, and further steps for collaboration were outlined.
