Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated that cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, and technology could help expand mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between Armenia and Mexico.

This statement was made during a meeting with the governor of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi, Jose Ricardo Gallardo Cardona.

According to Papoyan, the trade turnover between Armenia and Mexico in 2023 amounted to 2.3 million USD, according to the Statistical Committee of Armenia. The minister noted that there is significant untapped potential for further development of bilateral economic ties.

Papoyan particularly highlighted promising areas for cooperation, such as mining, information technology, and innovation. He presented the investment climate in Armenia to the Mexican partners and discussed the government's initiative "Crossroads of the World," which aims to create stability and peace in the region, fostering economic growth for both Armenia and its neighbors.

Thus, the meeting underscored the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries to realize their economic potential and mutual benefits.
