Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan held a meeting with the Head of the EU Mission, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, to discuss deepening trade and economic relations and launching new joint projects across various economic sectors.

The meeting on November 4, attended by Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Hovakimyan, focused on key areas of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its expansion. Special attention was given to diversifying Armenia's economy and enhancing the country’s export potential.

The parties discussed opportunities to attract European investments for developing Armenia’s logistics infrastructure and new mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises by providing additional financial resources and long-term loan programs.

A separate agenda item was dedicated to cooperation in the textile industry and agriculture. In the agricultural sector, the discussion highlighted agribusiness development, industry digitalization, and the implementation of innovative technologies.

An important topic of the talks was aligning infrastructure quality with international standards and strengthening cooperation in food security. These measures, as noted in the report, aim to increase the competitiveness of Armenian products in the European market.
