On Wednesday, August 14, a meeting was held between the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Hovhannisyan, and the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator and UN Security Officer in Armenia, Françoise Jacob.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, during the meeting, Minister Hovhannisyan highly praised the current level of cooperation with UN structures. He particularly highlighted the support provided by the organization in the context of implementing institutional reforms in the country.
The parties discussed programs being jointly implemented with the Armenian government, emphasizing the importance of their substantive focus and the need to assess the effectiveness of these initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both Minister Hovhannisyan and Coordinator Jacob expressed mutual readiness to strengthen partnership relations and expand the scope of joint initiatives between Armenia and the UN.
