Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and his deputy Narek Ovakimyan participated in the "Exchange of Competitiveness of American Countries" (ACE) program in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, at the final stage of the event, Armenia was officially announced as the next host country of the program. As a country outside the continental United States, where the program will be implemented as an observer, Armenia becomes the third country.

Gevorg Papoyan welcomed the participants of the event, emphasizing the importance of strengthening relations with the United States and other countries in the American region. He also expressed hope for identifying new opportunities for cooperation both in the public and private sectors and in the field of education.

"The ACE program is an important event in the field of economic development and entrepreneurship. It involves all member countries and observers of the Organization of American States.

The program brings together up to 50 high-ranking officials, politicians, business representatives, civil society members, and academic circles from member and observer countries," the statement said.

It is reported that participation in the program opens up new opportunities for Armenia to establish business connections and develop economic and trade relations with countries in North and South America.

"It also contributes to interaction between the public and private sectors, attracting investments, and establishing cooperation in the field of education," the statement said.
