Armenia hopes for deepening economic ties with Egypt. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with Egyptian prime minister Mustafa Madbouly on March 6.

Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashinyan, who embarked on an official visit to Egypt on March 5, expressed hope during the meeting with the head of the Egyptian government that, as a result of his official visit, economic cooperation will deepen alongside excellent bilateral political relations.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, the parties discussed the upcoming meeting of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission and business forum, during which various investment proposals will also be presented. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of Egypt's assistance in logistical matters regarding the shipment of humanitarian aid from Armenia to Gaza.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to expanding trade turnover and implementing investment programs.

Opinions were also exchanged regarding the construction of a new administrative city in Egypt and the establishment of an academic town in Armenia.

An agreement was reached to hold a meeting of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission and business forum in the coming months.
