The Eurasian Economic Commission has published a report on the economic growth of the countries within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the first half of 2024.
According to the report, Armenia recorded an impressive growth rate of 7.3%, marking the third highest increase among the union’s member states.
Overall, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the EAEU increased by 4.6% compared to the same period in 2023. During the reporting period, goods production in the EAEU grew by 4.3%, while service production saw a 5.2% rise.
The report also breaks down the growth rates of individual EAEU member states in terms of goods production from January to June 2024:
- Kyrgyzstan leads with an 8.7% growth rate.
- Belarus follows with a 7.5% increase.
- Armenia ranks third with 7.3% growth.
- Russia, the largest economy in the union, posted a 4.2% growth rate.
- Kazakhstan rounds out the list with a 3.6% increase.
