The Armenian government has published a draft action plan for implementing the strategy to improve the demographic situation for 2024–2040. The document was developed in line with the demographic strategy approved by a government decree on October 17, 2024.
The program outlines a comprehensive set of measures aimed at creating a favorable environment for family development, reducing mortality risk factors, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring active and dignified aging, reducing emigration, and retaining highly qualified human capital in the country.
The draft aligns with the goals of the "Human Capital Development" section of the government’s 2021–2026 program and the approaches to addressing demographic challenges outlined in the "Transformation of Armenia 2050" strategy. The document aims to translate strategic objectives into practical actions to improve the demographic situation in the republic.
