Starting in 2027, Armenia will be able to exchange information on crypto asset transactions with other countries. This announcement was made by the Deputy Head of the Comprehensive Tax Inspections Department of the Armenian State Revenue Committee Nairuhi Avetisyan, at the 6th High-Level Meeting of the Asian Initiative of the Global Forum of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as reported by ARKA agency.

She noted that since 2015, Armenia has been integrating into international tax transparency standards, and last year committed to automatic information exchange. Armenia's preliminary rating for information exchange will be ready next month, with the final assessment to be published in February.

Starting from September next year, Armenia will commence automatic information exchange on financial accounts with 137 countries. Avetisyan emphasized that tax transparency requires adherence to all confidentiality and security rules.

In 2024-2025, Armenia will co-chair the Asian Initiative of the OECD Global Forum. According to Avetisyan, this demonstrates the country's strong commitment to these transparency standards.
