Armenia will receive 10 million euros from the European Union Peace Fund for the first time this year, as Hungary has lifted its veto on this aid, diplomatic sources told Radio Liberty.

According to the same sources, "all member countries of the Union are now positively inclined, and it is expected that the project will be first approved by the ambassadors of the member states on July 17, and then by the foreign ministers at their meeting on July 22."

In April, Hungary vetoed the project, demanding that Azerbaijan also receive aid from the EU Peace Fund. According to Radio Liberty, this proposal by Budapest was not accepted, but a compromise solution was reached: funds will be allocated to Baku not from this fund, but separately for demining efforts," the report said.
