On Wednesday, October 23, Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan presented a bill to parliament on the ratification of an agreement between Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the "Second Stage of the Green, Sustainable, and Inclusive Development Policy Program."
According to the document, the country will receive a budget loan of €92.3 million, along with a $16 million grant from the Global Concessional Financing Facility.
The program aims to mitigate the effects of climate change, increase adaptive capacity, and improve the legal and regulatory framework for environmental protection.
In addition, the project envisions strengthening social equity, fostering human capital development, and enhancing the efficiency of the anti-corruption system and the justice sector.
