On Thursday, March 28, the Armenian government decided to allocate funds from the reserve funds of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense to organize the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sarkisyan, announced the intention to allocate 19 million drams for the purchase of canned goods and medicines, including antibiotics.

The plan is to send a shipment with a total weight of 29.94 tons, which will be delivered by the Ministry of Defense of the republic through Egypt.

BMG reminds that the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East began after a large-scale attack by the radical Islamist movement Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.

The attack by militants of this organization, recognized as terrorist by the European Union and the United States, included a massive rocket strike and an incursion into Israeli territory, accompanied by brutal actions against civilians.

In response, Israel declared war on Hamas, conducting large-scale military operations in the Gaza Strip, where Hamas controls power. According to Hamas, more than 32,000 people have died as a result of the military actions.
