On Thursday, June 6, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, Pashinyan congratulated Narendra Modi on the victory of the National Democratic Alliance in the parliamentary elections.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of continuing to expand cooperation between the two countries, especially after their meeting in New York in 2019. Nikol Pashinyan and Narendra Modi expressed a shared desire for further strengthening relations and developing cooperation.
The Prime Minister of India also expressed his sincere condolences in connection with the floods that occurred in the Lori and Tavush regions of the Republic of Armenia.
Recently, India and Armenia have been strengthening bilateral relations. According to Indian media reports, which have not been refuted by Armenian official sources, Armenia has concluded deals with India for the purchase of weapons worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
BMG, referring to Indian Aerospace Defense News, reported on the creation of an air corridor from India to Armenia for strategic exports. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) have jointly formed a working group called HALCON. The goal of this group is to improve logistics between India and Armenia.
