The Armenian Embassy in Georgia has issued a warning about upcoming traffic restrictions in the Devdorak Tunnel on the Georgian-Russian border.
According to the embassy, maintenance work will be carried out in the tunnel, located between kilometers 132 and 135 of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway (M-3), on August 15, 16, and 17 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. During these times, all types of vehicles will face movement restrictions.
The embassy noted that during this period, traffic will be rerouted around the inner Devdorak Tunnel (N-205). Vehicle movement will be managed according to a temporary schedule, with direct oversight and coordination by the police.
The "Upper Lars" crossing is the only operational land border crossing connecting Russia with Georgia, Armenia, and other nearby countries. Last week, repair work at this location led to a buildup of trucks and cars.
