On January 14, the Armenian Stock Exchange hosted an auction for the placement of government bonds totaling $93 million.
According to the Armenian Stock Exchange's press service, newly issued 11-year government bonds with the code AMGB1129A357 were offered for a total value of $177 million. The demand reached $118 million, while $93 million worth of bonds were successfully placed.
The auction’s average weighted yield was reported at 9.9671%, with an annual coupon rate set at 9%.
The Armenian Ministry of Finance highlighted that government bonds can be purchased both on the Armenian Stock Exchange trading platform and through the online platform gp.minfin.am. Detailed information about auctions is available on the exchange's official website, amx.am.
The successful placement of bonds at such a significant volume underscores the attractiveness of Armenia's financial market and the sustained trust of investors in the country’s government securities.
