Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has announced the upcoming appointment of Davit Khudatyan as the new Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The announcement was made on the Prime Minister's Facebook page.
Khudatyan, who has served as the Governor of Armavir Province since January 2024, brings extensive experience in regional administration. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2024, he served as the mayor of Armavir city.
This appointment is part of a series of significant government reshuffles initiated after the Prime Minister’s critical remarks on November 14 regarding the performance of law enforcement and judicial authorities.
In recent days, the heads of several key agencies, including the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, have stepped down. The changes have also extended to the parliament, where Narik Zeynalyan, a deputy from the ruling Civil Contract Party, resigned his mandate.
