Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has departed for a working visit to Russia on October 7-8, as reported by the Prime Minister's Office.
The main purpose of the visit is to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, which will be held in Moscow.
BMG previously reported that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is also in the Russian capital. He will take part in the CIS Foreign Ministers' Council meeting, which precedes the heads of state summit.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced that on October 7, the birthday of Vladimir Putin, a meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council will take place in Moscow.
"It will be a full-format meeting with a fairly busy agenda," Peskov noted.
