The Armenian stock market is showing significant growth, according to data from the Armenia Stock Exchange for September 2024. The volume of government bond placements reached $90 million, while the corporate bond market continues its steady expansion.
According to the Armenia Stock Exchange's press service, in September 2024, the total volume of government bond auction placements exceeded 34.8 billion AMD (around $90 million).
The volume of REPO transactions surpassed 8.2 billion AMD (approximately $21.2 million), marking a 253% increase compared to the same period last year.
Stock trading volumes reached 52.2 million AMD (about $135,000), while market capitalization exceeded 324 billion AMD (approximately $837 million), a 6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Experts note that both the corporate bond market and trading volumes are maintaining positive growth compared to previous years. This reflects increasing investor confidence in the Armenian stock market and the overall strengthening of the country's financial sector.
