On Wednesday, May 22, during a parliamentary session, Armenian Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented a draft amendment to the Tax Code, according to which the tax service will no longer notify businesses of inspections in advance.
The authors of the draft believe that surprise inspections will prevent dishonest companies from "covering their tracks" before inspectors arrive and then continuing to operate with violations. "We believe that this will make businesses more disciplined," Poghosyan noted.
