Armenia's two airports- Zvartnots in the capital Yerevan and Shirak in the second-largest town of Gyumri handled an unprecedented number of passengers in 2022 -3,697,539, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan said at a parliamentary session on Monday.
He said some 1,458,718 passengers were transported by Armenian and Russian airlines. Armenian airlines alone transported 916,524 passengers and some 1, 322,000 passengers were transported by airlines of other countries.
The top ten airlines by number of flown passengers are FlyOne Armenia (458,500 passengers), Azimut, Aeroflot, Red Wings, Armenia, Utair, Wizz Air, Russia, Fly Dubai and Aegean Airlines, ARKA reports.
