Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan announced the suspension of the activities of the trilateral commission involving Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan aimed at unblocking regional communications. According to him, the commission's work has stalled due to a lack of consensus on fundamental issues.

Grigoryan pointed out that without agreement on key aspects, further discussions on details are meaningless. This statement was made ahead of a session of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Relations on October 21.

Currently, the situation is developing contrary to the outcomes of the 12th meeting of the trilateral working group, which took place in early June in Moscow. At that time, the deputy prime ministers of the three countries reached mutual understanding regarding specific steps to restore the railway route along the Yeraskh-Julfa-Meghri-Horadiz line.
