Armenia's Foreign Trade 4.4% Down in Q1 2021

Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-March 2021 dropped by 4.4% from the same time span of 2020 to US$1.509.3 billion, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.

According to official data, in March 2021, compared to February 2021, the foreign trade grew by 12.8%, and compared to March 2020 by 12.7%. In January-March 2021, the foreign trade turnover was worth US$ 1,523,149,631 (791.3 billion drams).
 
Armenian exports compared to January-March 2020 increased by 3.4% to US$572.9 million. In March 2021, compared to February 2021, it increased by 11.6%, and compared to March 2020 - by 21.8%. Exports in January-February 2021 amounted to US$578,230,948 (300.4 billion drams).
 
Imports were down 8.7% compared to January-March 2020 to US$936.4 million. In March 2021, compared to February 2021, imports increased by 13.5%, and compared to March 2020 - by 5%. Imports in January-February 2021 were worth US$944,918,683 (490.9 billion drams).
