Armenia’s Foreign Trade Ups 12.7% in 8 Months to over $5 BLN

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in January-August 2021 amounted to $5.002.6 billion, having grown by 12.7% from the same period in 2020, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
 
The NSC said in August 2021 compared to August 2020, the foreign trade turnover decreased by 4.7%, and compared to July 2021 by 0.1%. In January-August 2021, ARKA reports. 
 
Armenian exports in the reporting period of time increased by 21.8% from the first eight months of 2020 to $1.912 billion. In August 2021, compared to August 2020, the exports increased by 13.9%, and compared to July 2021 - by 1.4%. 
 
Armenian imports amounted to $3.090.6 billion, recording an increase of 7.7% compared to January-August 2020. In August 2021, compared to August 2020, imports decreased by 7.3%, and compared to July 2021 - by 8.2%.
