Armenia's imports of Russian natural gas in 2022 grew by 6.1%

Armenia's imports of Russian natural gas in 2022 grew by 6.1% from the previous year to about 2.6 billion cubic meters, according to Gazprom-Armenia natural gas distributing company.

According to the company, deliveries to consumers grew to .about 2.5 billion cubic meters from about 2.4 billion cubic meters in 2021.

In particular, 502.9 million and 296.5 million cubic meters of natural gas was delivered to the energy and industry sectors respectively, another 812.1 million cubic meters to the households and 504.8 million cubic meters to compressed natural gas fueling stations.

Gazprom-Armenia, a 100% subsidiary of the Russian holding Gazprom is the monopoly supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia.

It is engaged in transportation, storage, distribution and sales of natural gas, as well as reconstruction and expansion of gas transportation system and underground gas storage capacities, ARKA reports.
