In August 2024, Armenia's real estate market showed significant growth compared to the same period last year. According to data from the Republic's Statistical Committee, the number of real estate transactions reached 4,822, marking an 8.4% increase from August 2023.
The capital city, Yerevan, remains the center of real estate activity, accounting for 27% of all transactions. The fewest transactions were recorded in the Vayots Dzor region, representing only 1.8% of the total.
The market structure indicates that land plots are in the highest demand, making up nearly half of all transactions. Apartments in multi-story buildings and private houses follow in popularity.
Of particular interest is the activity of foreign citizens in Armenia's real estate market. In August, they completed 142 property transactions, with Russian citizens leading the way with 82 deals. Europeans, Americans, and citizens of CIS countries also showed interest in Armenian real estate.
It is noteworthy that foreigners are not only buying but also selling property in Armenia. In August, 195 property sales were registered, 146 of which were made by Russian citizens.
