The National Agency for State Procurement has published the government’s August 2025 fuel purchase contracts, showing no change in prices despite a 1.3% monthly rise in global fuel costs.

Under the agreement, prices are revised only if the international Platts index changes by more than 3% in a month. For August, prices are:

  • Regular – 2.36 GEL (unchanged from July) from Socar
  • Premium – 2.28 GEL (down from 2.38 GEL) from Rompetrol
  • Super – 2.67 GEL (unchanged) from Wissol

Government ministries and agencies procure fuel via a consolidated tender, with prices calculated monthly using the previous month’s Platts European market average, GEL exchange rate, and applicable taxes.
