In 2023, the average salary in Armenia grew by 14.6% compared to the previous year, while the real salary increased by 12.4%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a parliamentary discussion on May 29.
Pashinyan explained that the real salary represents the amount of money received by citizens adjusted for inflation. "It is important to note that since 2018, the real salary has increased by 30.4%," the Prime Minister stated in parliament.
According to the Statistical Committee, the average nominal monthly salary in Armenia in 2023 reached 269,994 drams (over $690), which is 14.6% higher than the previous year’s figure.
